Background
Erin Emmanuel is a well-versed clinical social worker and psychotherapist. Erin believes that attunement is a necessary ingredient for effective treatment. With careful attention and insight, she provides her clients with the space to be seen, heard, and transformed through the process of psychotherapy. Her experience as an educator, movement specialist, and community health therapist informs her justice-oriented and inclusive approach.
Modalities
Erin draws from a variety of standard therapy modalities, CBT, DBT, ACT, CFT, MI, as well as innovative mind-body approaches. Research continues to show the psychological is the physiological and Erin guides client to shift to a more embodied existence, identifying the interplay of physical and emotional needs.
Focus Population
Erin’s practice prioritizes those in transitional seasons – young adults completing academic programs and stepping into careers, those who have recently relocated to the Boston area, new mothers/fathers seeking support as they adjust to parenthood, and couples hoping to shift dynamics and determine relationship goals. In all these categories of significant change, Erin empowers clients to obtain self-compassion, self-confidence, and ultimately cultivate an internal-equilibrium that can withstand life’s challenges.

Services & Fees

Individual Therapy
A weekly set-apart space for clients to process their psychological well-being and gain insight on how to better care for themselves. Modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and mind-body trauma informed interventions. Offering in-person and virtual sessions.
Couples Therapy
A space for couples to address their relational dynamics and resolve ongoing issues with the guidance and instruction of a trained psychotherapist. Couples will gain practical skills to improve communication, trust, and intimacy. Offering in-person sessions only.
Birth Stories Group Therapy
Birth Stories is a supportive group therapy space for postpartum women who desire to process their labor experience with other moms. Birth Stories honors the courageous effort and unique events present in all stories of laboring women. This groups runs twice a year for 8 weeks each time. This group is not billed to insurance. Offering in-person and virtual group sessions.
